Heavy rainfall and fierce winds continue across Gajapati district as Cyclone Montha approaches landfall near Kakinada this evening. Wind speeds reaching 100–110 kmph have uprooted trees, blocked roads, and damaged houses in Mohana and R. Udayagiri areas. In Akili village, Basudev Paricha’s house collapsed while Surath Lima’s tin roof was blown away due to the storm.
