As Diwali approaches, the Puri Jagannath Temple is witnessing heightened security measures to ensure the safety of devotees and preserve the sanctity of the sacred site. Superintendent of Police (SP) Prateek Singh has outlined comprehensive strategies to manage the increased influx of pilgrims during this auspicious period.
In a recent statement, SP Prateek Singh emphasized the importance of robust security arrangements, stating, “We are committed to providing a safe and secure environment for all devotees visiting the temple during Diwali. Our measures include increased surveillance, crowd management, and coordination with temple authorities.”
The security plan encompasses the deployment of additional police personnel, installation of surveillance equipment, and implementation of crowd control measures to facilitate smooth and orderly darshan. Authorities are also coordinating with temple servitors and other stakeholders to ensure seamless operations during the festival.
These enhanced security measures aim to maintain law and order, prevent any untoward incidents, and provide a peaceful environment for devotees to partake in the Diwali celebrations at the historic Jagannath Temple.
