Today, India commemorates the 150th birth anniversary of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel. In Rourkela, a grand foot-march was held, starting from the Atal Bihari Vajpayee Park and proceeding to the Birsa Munda Athletic Stadium. The event brought together over a hundred students, citizens, district officials and police administrators. Brijesh Ray (DIG) attended as the chief guest.
“This celebration honours the Iron Man’s vision of national unity and service,” noted the address at the gathering.
The nationwide observance marks Patel’s legacy as a freedom-fighter and statesman who played a pivotal role in integrating India’s princely states.
