In Berhampur, Odisha, the family of lawyer Pitabas Panda—linked to the much-discussed Pitabas Panda murder case—has received death threats from unidentified callers. Following these threats, the Berhampur Police has deployed 24-hour security around their residence, with plainclothes officers stationed nearby.
According to Panda’s wife, the family has been receiving coercive calls pressuring them to withdraw the case. Their son reportedly received two threatening calls from unknown numbers. After the wife’s press meet, authorities promptly moved to provide protection to the family.
