In a heartbreaking incident from Odisha’s Kandhamal district, a Class 7 student, Tushar Mishra, lost his life after accidentally swallowing a pin from his school’s notice board. The mishap occurred on the 15th while he was attending class at Adarsha Vidyalaya in Phulbani, where he stayed with his maternal family for studies.
According to reports, Tushar had informed his class teacher and other staff about the accident, but no immediate medical help was arranged. Later, after returning home, his family rushed him to the hospital. Doctors at Cuttack Sishu Bhavan removed the pin lodged in his lungs, but his condition worsened, and he passed away on the 26th.
