After the recent cyclone, continuous rain has wreaked havoc in Balasore city of Odisha. The city witnessed heavy downpour through last night, leading to severe waterlogging in several areas. Streets connecting Balasore to Remuna are submerged, while rainwater has entered many homes and shops, disrupting daily life.
Residents report that the rainfall has continued almost non-stop since last night, leaving several parts of the city flooded. The post-cyclone rain has exposed the poor drainage system, with standing water visible across residential colonies and marketplaces.
